Each year we give out three major awards: Outstanding Civil Engineering Project of the Year, Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year, and scholarships for outstanding student service. Nominations may be submitted in one of three categories: Environmental, Structural, and Transportation. Construction must have been completed in 2015 to be eligible. Multi-phase projects are eligible for an award. The nomination requires a 300 word overview supporting why you feel this project deserves special recognition and three or more project photos.
Nominations may be submitted for either the Outstanding Engineer of the Year or Outstanding Young Engineer of the Year (under 35 years of age). The engineer you nominate need not be an ASCE member. The Young Engineer of the Year must be younger than 36 years of age by January 1, 2016. Nomination require a 300 word overview supporting why you feel this engineer deserves special recognition.
Each year we award $2,000 in scholarships to students studying Civil Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno who have demonstrated scholastic achievement and have been active in student service, especially within ASCE. Applications require a list of student activities, a summary of financial need, a signature from one of the ASCE Student Chapter advisors on campus.
